2008 POST-TOURNAMENT REACTIONS“First of all thanks for the great tournament in Bangkok. All of us from the SCC really enjoyed
the inaugural Thaliand Sixes. ...to be honest when it got down to the cup finals the standard was probably
one of the highest we have seen in a long while. Great achievement for a first off tournament. Once again
thanks for a fantastic weekend and we would love to come back next year.” “Just wanted to drop you a line to tell you how much we enjoyed the BKK sixes last weekend. It has got people talking here and people who declined to be a part of it, will I am sure wish to be included in future events. The whole weekend was spot on, from the hotel and the excellent support regards to transport to the running of the event itself. Both days of cricket were extremely well run and played in good spirit, allowing for lots of good banter both on and off the field. The evening functions were both excellent, particularly the Saturday night at the crossbar, good food, good fellowship and free beer, what more can one ask for? from lack of light on last day). And I thought it was really well organised and run. A great venue with
real grass to try to run on with the old legs and pretty good drainage for the rains. The hotel was good,
although having stayed there numerous times before, I already knew it was. Congrats to all involved and
I think it will grow to be quite a popular tournament.” |
